On December 7, Consul General Zha Liyou was invited to attend the 161th anniversary of Calcutta Rowing Club. Member, Mayor-in-council, Kolkata Municipal Corporation Mr. Debasish Kumar, Bangladesh Deputy High Commissioner in Kolkata Mr. Toufique Hasan, Former Director of SAI Eastern Centre Mr. Manmeet Singh Goindi, Millennium Post regional manager Ms. Monika Parashari Lahiri and other celebrities attended.

Consul General Zha Liyou congratulated Calcutta Rowing Club for its 161th anniversary and spoke highly of the club in promoting youth and sports exchanges between China and East India. Chinese Consulate was willing to provide necessary assistance to promote people-to-people exchanges between China and India.

President Mr. Mitra thanked Consul General Zha Liyou for attending the event and mentioned the club would actively promote sports exchanges with China.

Consul General Zha Liyou presented trophies with other guests to the winners of the rowing race.

The anniversary was co-organized by Calcutta Rowing Club and Millennium Post, and a 3-day rowing race was also held.
