Consul General Zha Liyou visits Jharkhand, India

Consul General Zha Liyou paid a visit to Jharkhand, India from June 26th to 29th and met with the new Chief Secretary Mr. D.K. Tiwari to exchange views on the implementation of some ideas of Chief Minister Raghubar Das during his visit to China in September last year.

Consul General also visited Kaushal College and Mega Skill Center in Ranchi on account of recommedation of Jharkhand government to know the institution setting, teaching quality, school management, training types, student employment etc. Mr. Zha introduced China's experience in targeted poverty alleviation and skills training, and expressed willingness to actively promote exchanges and cooperation in the field of skills training between China and India.

Moreover, Consul General Zha Liyou visited Jharkand Central University and met with Vice Chancellor Nand Kumar Yadav. Mr. Zha said Chinese Consulate would create favourable conditions for Central University to strengthen cooperation with Chinese counterparts and jointly promote cultural exchanges between China and India. Vice Chancellor Yadav welcomed Consul General Zha Liyou and expressed his willingness to keep close contact with Chinese Consulate to strengthen cooperation with Chinese universities in language learning and other majors.

In addition, Consul General Zha Liyou had a field trip to Rajrappa Project of Taiyuan Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. to meet with Chinese employees here. He also had a cordial conversation with local engineers and workers to know the equipments of Taiyuan Heavy Industry and met with General Manager of Central Coalfields Limited Mr. Alok Kumar. Subsequently, Mr. Zha visited Indian Institute of Coal Management and listened to introductions of school management, training types, teaching methods, etc.. He emphasized as a large state-owned enterprise, Coal India had a great potential in strengthening exchanges and cooperation with China in terms of industry development and personnel training. Chinese Consulate would provide necessary assistance and help in this regard.

Consul General Zha Liyou also visited Chinese Anti-Japanese Expeditionary Martyr Cementry in Ramgarh and paid homage to eversleeping Chinese soldiers here.
