Consul General Zha Liyou Meets with Delegation from Jharkhand Central University

On June 1st, Consul General Zha Liyou and his wife Zheng Huiqun met with students and teachers from the Chinese Department of Jharkhand Central University.

Consul General Zha highly appreciated the Chinese Department of Jharkhand Central University for its long-term efforts on Chinese language education and promotion of Chinese culture. He introduced the four proposals of President Xi Jinping's keynote speech at the Asian Civilization Dialogue and the latest development of cultural and people-to-people exchanges between China and India. He hoped students could work hard to study Chinese well and have a better understanding of Chinese culture, and play as a bridge between China and India and make contribution to the friendly relations between the two countries in the future.

The teachers and students of the delegation thanked the Consulate General for the thoughtful arrangements and said that the visit will help them realizing their dreams of learning Chinese and seeing China by their own eyes. They expressed their willingness to use this opportunity to improve Chinese language and enhance understanding of the culture and history of China, so that they can be well prepared for the future and make contribution to the development of India-China relations.

The 25-member delegation from the Chinese Department of Jharkhand Central University will visit Kunming and Dali in Yunnan Province, China from June 2nd to 7th for friendly exchanges with Yunnan Normal University and Dali University.
