Consul General Ma Zhanwu Meets ICC Director General

Mr. Ma Zhanwu, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Kolkata, met with Dr. Rajeev Singh, Director General of Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), at his residence on 4th January 2018. Consul Dou Aidong, Vice Consul Gao Xiang were present.

Mr. Ma exchanged views with Dr. Singh on the B2B Conference for Chinese and Indian companies to be held jointly by the Consulate and ICC on 16 Jan 2018. Dr. Singh promised to work closely with the Consulate and he also gave a briefing on the organization structure of ICC. The board of directors of ICC is mainly composed of Indian leading entrepreneur. ICC has 16 committees. 7 committees are running very actively, including committees on energy, agriculture, law, logistics and so on. This year ICC will cooperate with Yunnan Province to hold an India-China and South Asia Expo.

Mr. Ma appreciated ICC’s work on promoting economic and trade cooperation between China and India, and said he hoped to see continued cooperation between the Consulate and ICC.
