Consul General Ma Zhanwu Meets ICC Delegation

Mr. Ma Zhanwu, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Kolkata, met with Dr. Rajeev Singh, Director General of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the delegation that he would lead for a visit to China, at his residence on 17 August 2017. Vice Consul General Cai Zhifeng, Consul Dou Aidong and Vice Consul Gao Xiang were present.

The ICC delegation also includes Ms Madhuparna Bhowmick, Additional Director of ICC, and the executives from Binapani Corporation, Ishita Organics, Jagrit Chemicals & Fertilizer, Naga Agrimate, Pallishree Ltd, Keventer Agro Ltd, ADCHEM Industries, Suan Scientific Instruments and Equipments, Megapro Consultant. They will travel to Shandong Province and Yunnan Province of China in the coming days.

Mr. Ma gave a briefing on the history, culture, and agricultural developments of Shandong and Yunnan, and said he very much welcomed the forthcoming visit to China by the ICC group. He hoped the delegation would establish contact with the Chinese companies, and initiate or enhance friendly exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation with them.

Dr. Singh told Mr. Ma that the West Bengal State Government attached importance to the visit, and he was grateful to the Consul General and his colleagues for their support and assistance. He also said that he was confident  this visit would contribute to economic and trade ties between Eastern India and China. The representatives of the above Indian companies shared with Mr. Ma  the business scopes of their companies, and said they looked forward to a fruitful visit to China.
