Consul General Ma Zhanwu Meets St. Paul's School Delegation

On 1 June 2017, Mr. Ma Zhanwu, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Kolkata, met at his residence with a group of teachers and students from St. Paul’s School, Darjeeling, West Bengal, India led by Rector Joy Halder, which will visit China soon. Consul Zhang Jing and and Consular Attache Chen Ankai were present.

Mr. Ma gave a briefing on the friendly exchanges between China and India, Chinese history as well as current development in China, and welcomed the delegation’s visit to his country. He hoped that the delegation could have a better understanding of it through the visit, and start exchanges with Chinese schools. He also interacted with all members of the group.

Rector Joy Halder thanked Mr. Ma for his introduction and the arrangement made for their visit by the consulate. He said this would be the first trip to China by a group from his school, and also the first trip to China by all members of the delegation. They looked forward to learning more about China and hoped to have interactions with the Chinese schools.
